Paramoor Winery is one of the most popular and awarded wineries in the Macedon Ranges.
A boutique operation, Paramoor is not about mass production. From the meticulous selection of grapes to the personalised service at the cellar door, every detail is considered. Paramoor's wines have attracted international recognition, with high praise coming from Australia's most recognised wine critic, James Halliday. He calls Paramoor an 'excellent producer of very high quality wines' and has judged several Paramoor wines to be among the best in the nation.
Located in natural bushland high in the Macedon Ranges, cool climate grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Riesling, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive in rich volcanic soils; while the region's Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir grapes are thought to be among the purest in the world.
Paramoor’s cellar door, converted from old stables, draws a crowd as much for its relaxed ambience and thoughtful displays of history, as for its outstanding wines. It is here that gourmet pizzas are served on the first Sunday of each month.
