About us
Built in 1870, Birthday Villa at Malmsbury was named after Queen's Birthday Mine at nearby Drummond. Our boutique vineyard was established in 1976. We have an old world garden and views of the historic Malmsbury viaduct.
Our award winning wines are made by Greg Dedman of Vintage Services Australia. We are producers of Gewurztraminer and Cabernet Sauvignon and are committed to quality. Vines are hand picked, hand pruned and tendered with care.

Gewurztraminer is most famous in the Alsace wine region of north east France. Gewurz means "spicy" in German . It is the main characteristic of Gewurztraminer wine. Birthday Villa Cabernet is made in the Bordeaux style. It is aged in French Oak barrels over 18 months with a secondary malo lactic fermentation.
Made from 40 year old vines, it has the classic cassis nose of lovely mature blackberry, spice and cloves. Ruby red in color. On the palate, an elegant wine with a persistent long finish.
