Tastings at 'Wine in the City wine club'

28 February, 2014:  Macedon Ranges Tastings at "Wine in the City wine club", great tastings from our region to the city

Macedon wine producers are taking their wines to the “Wine in the City” wine club night this Friday, where there will be several of our region’s top wine makers exhibiting their wines.

It is a great opportunity to educate Melburnians about our region and what it has to offer, and to show off the great diversity within the award winning wines of the Macedon Ranges.

Six presenters are:

• Hew Richards of Midhill Vineyard,
• Phil Moraghan of Curly Flat,
• Terry South of Banyandah,
• Jesse Lieth of Passing Clouds,
• Alex Stephenson of Hesket Estate and
• Barry Elliott of Chanters Ridge.

Along with great wines to taste, the session will be a good opportunity to educate the club members on what it means to be “cool”, in terms of climate naturally, the presenters will be doing everything possible to explain adapted viticultural practices, how this effects our vintages and what is expected from a Macedon Ranges wine.

The 13 wines on show were selected from those that did well in the wine shows of 2013.
